Millionaire Stays On Top

In a virtual repeat of last week's Nielsen ratings, ABC's Millionaire again gained the top three slots for the week of June 25 to July 1.

ABC has announced it will only run Millionaire twice a week beginning in the fall in an effort to strengthen its overall schedule. But one wonders if this makes sense considering the high numbers it continues to get throughout the week.

It earned shares of 16, 18 and 15 for Thursday, Tuesday and Sunday last week.

CBS's CSI was fourth, followed by Primetime Thursday (ABC), 48 Hours Monday (CBS), Weakest Link (NBC), Everybody Loves Raymond (CBS), 60 Minutes (CBS) and Law and Order (NBC).

Last week's top 10 cable shows were WWF Entertainment, ranked one and two, BET Award Show, Sunday Movie--A Deadly Vision, Sunday Movie II-In the Best Interest Children, TBS Prime Movie--Absolute Power, Sunday Movie I--Every Woman's Dream and Rugrats, which took eight, nine and 10.

The top syndicated shows were Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Oprah Winfrey Show, Entertainment Tonight, Judge Judy, Friends, Frasier, Seinfeld and Live! with Regis & Kelly.

CBS won the top prime average, with 5.9% of households and an 11 share. ABC and CBS were close behind with Fox ranked fourth.
