The Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games (SLOC) and NBC have announced a joint agreement with MSNBC.com and the MSN network of Internet services to produce, host and distribute the official websites for the Olympic Winter Games of 2002 and NBC's coverage of the Games. As the first joint Olympic website to be delivered to consumers, the site is expected to attract the largest online audience in history for a sports event and will offer companies a premier global marketing opportunity. The site will be produced by MSNBC, and promoted through MSN. The site also will be promoted throughout NBC's television coverage of the Games on NBC, CNBC and MSNBC. For the first time in Olympic history, users will have one integrated source for all their official Olympic information by accessing any of the three URLs directly or exclusively through MSN.
