Confused About Yahoo Shopping And PriceGrabber Deal?

Yahoo recently reported inking a relationship with PriceGrabber, dropping the ability to take direct data feeds from retailers and serving them up on Yahoo Shopping. PriceGrabber will power Yahoo's shopping search query results on Yahoo Shopping.

ChannelAdvisor has posted a video on YouTube to help retailers understand what the Yahoo and PriceGrabber agreement means, hosted by ChannelAdvisor chief executive officer Scot Wingo.

    Well, it's certainly nice that someone is attempting to think of the retailer when it comes to this particular deal. But personally, just as I avoided listing on Yahoo for so long, I will continue to avoid PriceGrabber as well. With click fraud on the rise, no retailer should be advertising with a site that still uses CPC or PPC pricing. It's simply a waste of money. Instead, look for other alternatives, like Sortprice.com, which charges a flat monthly fee and gives you unlimited clicks.

    I think this is going to be a blow to so many online retailers and especially smaller merchants. Merchants who are used to a certain way of sending data feeds will find it hard to adopt. Thanks to sites like Onewayshopping.com that accept data feeds from other comparison shopping sites (Shopping.com, Nex Tag. Price Grabber).
