New York City Gets Behind The Oscars

NYC & Company, the official marketing, tourism and partnership organization for the City of New York, is holding an event called "Oscar Night and the City" as part of a week-long "NYC's Official Oscars Night America" celebration.

The evening reception and broadcast viewing party on March 7 will be at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall. The event will be the culmination of a weeklong celebration to salute the Oscars through a series of cultural event and programming efforts.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center will host an Oscar-winning movie marathon March 5-7, featuring New York City-themed films such as "Annie Hall," "Raging Bull," "The Godfather," "West Side Story," "Klute," "Broadway Melody," "French Connection," and "Dog Day Afternoon."--Karl Greenberg
