Even Spiderman's Website Is Sticky

Surfers logging on to the Internet at work flocked to Apple.com to view the trailer for the movie "Spiderman," set to debut in May 2002, according to Internet audience measurement service Nielsen//NetRatings. During the week ending Dec. 16, the website attracted 839,000 office workers, jumping 101% as compared to 418,000 surfers the week prior. Nearly 16% of the site's audience, or 134,000 unique surfers, visited the page featuring the online trailer for "Spiderman," spending more than five minutes on the site. The site attracted a predominantly male audience with a 68-to-32 gender split.
