Staples Offers Free Copies Of Tax Returns

  • March 1, 2010
For the sixth year running, Staples says it will offer free copying for tax returns, starting March 27 and running through April 15, the deadline for filing 2009 taxes.

The Framingham, Mass.-based retailer, which also sells tax software and services, says it is increasing the number of free pages to 30 (or 15 double-sided sheets.)

"We know the tax filing season can be stressful, and we're here to make it easy for customers to lessen the time and energy it takes to prepare, file and save all of the necessary documents," the company says in its release. It has also added an "Ask the expert" feature to its web site, allowing customers to pose tax questions to tax pro Barbara Weltman.--Sarah Mahoney
