Gemstar-TV Guide and Sears Sign Major Ad Deal

Gemstar-TV Guide International, Inc., a provider of Interactive Program Guide (IPG) products and services, and Sears, Roebuck and Co. announced today the signing of a 12-month advertising agreement for the placement of Sears advertising via Gemstar-TV Guide's IPG products.

The agreement calls for Sears to advertise on Gemstar-TV Guide's IPG products during key sales periods from the fourth quarter 2001 through the third quarter 2002, with a heavy emphasis on the holiday selling period.
