  • March 23, 2010
Talk about a welcome wagon: Jostein Solheim has been named the new CEO of Ben & Jerry's Homemade Ice Cream, just in time for the quirky Vermont chain's annual national Free Cone Day.

Those who show up at the South Burlington, Vt. headquarters today even get to participate in a Q&A session with the new honcho.)

Solheim replaces Walt Freese, who left the company earlier this year, and has been with Unilever, which owns B&J, for 14 years. Most recently, he completed a rejuvenation plan for Unilever's North American Ice Cream division.--Sarah Mahoney
