MobiTV has launched a free iPhone app for its mobile TV service that users can upgrade to the full, paid version for one, three or six months at a cost of $9.99, $24.99, and $44.99, respectively.

The free version includes Live news on MSNBC and Fox News, and a package of on-demand content from NBC News, MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon. The premium version offers more than 30 live and on-demand channels with 150 titles of full-length programming from networks including ESPN Mobile TV, MSNBC and Fox. Previously, mobiTV offered only iPhone apps featuring sports-related programming. The new mobiTV app has earned 2.5 out of five stars in the App Store, based on 413 ratings. --Mark Walsh
