Ford's market share has topped 17% for the first time since 2006, and Ford vehicles are selling at a higher price with lower incentives. Ford's average sticker price rose $952 from 2009 to 2010, while its average transaction price climbed $1,294 during the same period.
Ford's incentive spend is also down about $100 this year ($3,221 on average per vehicle in the first quarter of 2010 versus $3,338 per vehicle last year.)
Also in the first quarter, the F-150 pickup once again became the top-selling light vehicle in the U.S. --Karl Greenberg
