Correction: Rentrak Data to Come From 17 Million Sets, Geographic Breakdowns Available

A Media Daily News article on June 16 titled "Rentrak Pushes Ratings Data From Dish" should have noted that Rentrak plans to use data for its TV Essentials and StationView Essentials products culled from set-top boxes serving 17 million TV sets. Rentrak also says its products do not provide commercial ratings, but instead data on viewership of commercials as it compares to viewing levels for all programming. The company says it offers demographic information about viewing, including patterns in particular Zip codes.
