NBC To Broadcast Rugby World Cup

The Rugby World Cup will be broadcast on U.S. network television for the first time. The International Rugby Board announced that NBC has secured rights to the 2011 and 2015 events, reports AP. All 48 matches will be covered in both TV and digital media. IRB chief executive Mike Miller said the deal illustrated the growing appeal of the sport, which will be included in the Olympic Games from 2016.
