Display ad technology company Collective on Wednesday named Justin Evans as its new senior vice president of audience development. Evans most recently served as senior vice president of advertising solutions at The Nielsen Company. In this newly created position at Collective, Evans will be expected to oversee network relations, identify new strategic partnerships, and expand relationships with data, display and video partners.

"Justin will help us keep up with the demand for high quality analytics and help us maintain pole position in audience data as media buyers continue to buy targeted online audiences instead of only sites," said Joe Apprendi, CEO of Collective.

At the Nielsen Company, Evans was credited with spearheading the effort to enter the $1.1 billion online ad targeting market, expanding its client base from five to 20 in one year, including portals, TV Networks and top 50 ad networks. Previously, he served as vice president of market development at social network software provider Pluck. --Gavin O'Malley
