Pancake-centric restaurant chain IHOP has taped Interpublic's McCann Erickson West unit as its new agency for brand strategy and broadcast creative. Sister media shop Universal McCann will continue
to handle IHOP's media planning and buying. McCann Erickson Los Angeles previously handled IHOP from 2002 to 2007, and developed its "Come hungry, leave happy" tagline. The account had been with MDC
Partners' Vitro Agency for the past two years.
