Special K Adds Fiber To Cereal Varieties

  • August 17, 2010
Kellogg Company has announced that it has added three grams of fiber per serving to several varieties of its Special K cereals.

The Special K varieties that have been reformulated to include fiber, and are now available in grocery stores nationwide, include Red Berries, Fruit & Yogurt, Cinnamon Pecan, Vanilla Almond, Blueberry and Chocolatey Delight.

In announcing the reformulations, Kellogg stressed that the fiber has been added to offer "more positive nutrition without sacrificing the great taste" of the Special K cereals.

In late July, Kellogg introduced Kellogg's FiberPlus Antioxidants Cereals, offering fiber plus Vitamins C and E. Last year, it launched FiberPlus Antioxidants Bars.
