'House' Promo Alludes To Affairs of the Heart

FOX's House

New print key art for the seventh season of Fox's big drama "House" goes to the heart of the matter.

Hugh Laurie, who plays Dr. Gregory House, can be found on his back with his suit jacket and white shirt opened to reveal his bloody heart. Surgeons' hands can be found prodding his heart (seeming somewhat smaller than the average size organ) with scalpels and other instruments.

House looks straight at the camera with his eyes open. A small caption announces: 'Love/sick." This comments on House's now established love interest/relationship with Dr. Lisa Cuddy (his boss and longtime personal/professional combatant), the subject matter of which ended last season's finale.

"House" has seen some dramatic and original key art through its six seasons on air. One of last year's key show art pieces was designed by Hugh Laurie himself.

The sixth season of "House" was teased by an image that had Laurie wrapped in large snakes emulating the medical caduceus symbol -- the so-called "Snakes on a Cane" design.

For this season, Fox is releasing another promo photo -- one with less controversy around it. It shows House offering an apple -- a piece of fruit he seemingly took a bite out of.

The season seven premiere is September 20th.
