Coach, Luxottica Make Deal On Shades

Coach says it has signed a deal with eyewear behemoth Luxottica Group S.p.A., and will make prescription eyewear and sunglasses under the Coach, Coach Poppy and Reed Krakoff brands.

The glasses are expected to roll out to Coach stores around the world next year, and will also be marketed in select travel retail locations, independent optical locations and Luxottica's retail chains.

Coach says it expects its eyewear to reach $100 million in sales annually, after the initial launch period.--Sarah Mahoney
