The 30-second spot for Snackerz -- the first Butterfinger product innovation in more than five years -- is a variation on the brand's "Nobody's Gonna Lay A Finger On My Butterfinger" campaign.
The spot, from West Hollywood, Calif.-based agency Dailey, features a proper Southern belle defending her stash of Snackerz from an equally proper friend. Her secret weapon: a zapping device hidden in a porcelain figurine.
It began airing this week on national cable (and can also be viewed on YouTube). Zenith Optimedia handled media planning and buying.
Snackerz feature a smooth, Butterfinger-flavored center coated in chocolate and topped with peanut butter drizzle.
