Sears Intros Personalized Online Shopping Feature

  • November 1, 2010

Sears Holdings says it has launched a service called AdYourWay, a shopping tool that personalizes the shopping offers consumers receive. By combining customized recommendations with its product selection, the Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based company says the service-now available at Sears.com, and soon at Kmart.com as well -- will include new offers on a single page, based on a customer's search and purchase history.

A "follow" function allows users to receive alerts when prices change on an item they're tracking. The company also says it has signed on with iAd, Apple's new mobile advertising network, which will provide shoppers with interactive ads on iPhone or iPod touch, without leaving their current app. Sears says it will launch an iAd campaign soon, to let shoppers know about the service.
