Gene Shalit, the wild-haired film critic, a mainstay on "Today" for 40 years, will leave NBC on Nov. 11, says
The Hollywood Reporter. His final show will include a retrospective of film reviews
and celebrity interviews. Shalit says he will continue. In a statement from his PR rep, he said: "It's enough already."
