Nordstrom, New Balance Give Shoes To 11,000 Kids

  • December 6, 2010

As part of a holiday marketing effort, Nordstrom is teaming up with New Balance to donate shoes to needy kids. Nordstrom stores are displaying holiday trees, with tags shoppers can buy for $20.

Those funds go to Shoes That Fit, a national nonprofit organization that identifies children who are most in need of footwear. A minimum of 11,450 pairs will be distributed, with Nordstrom covering the costs of unsold tags and shipping.

Since 1992, Shoes That Fit has distributed 900,000 pairs of new shoes and clothing items to students in 35 states.
