Lucas Leads Sales For MTV Networks

Jeff-Lucas

Longtime MTV advertising executive Jeff Lucas will now be the most senior advertising sales executive for MTV's music and entertainment groups: head of sales for the music and entertainment groups at MTV Networks.

Lucas has been executive vice president of entertainment sales group, which included Comedy Central, Spike and TV Land. Now Lucas will be adding oversight of the company's Music & Logo Group, which includes MTV, VH1, CMT and Logo. As part of Lucas' promotion, Sean Moran, executive vice president for MTV, VH1 and Logo 360 Brand Sales, will have an expanded role under Lucas.

Lucas will report to Rich Eigendorff, COO of MTV Networks. He will have another report to Van Toffler, president of MTV Network Music & Logo Group, and Doug Herzog, president of MTV Network Entertainment Group.

Eigendorff noted that Lucas' work at older-skewing networks, such as Comedy, Spike and TV Land, will resonate elsewhere: "His smart approach meets client needs at the corporate, planning and buying levels. We want to systematically apply that thinking across our teen and adult-focused brands," he stated.
