Newsweek's National Ad Rates Rising

Newsweek's national advertising rates will increase 4.77% in 2003, Worldwide Publisher Gregory J. Osberg announced on Friday. New one-time national ad rates become effective with the Jan. 13, 2003 issue (on newsstands Monday, Jan. 6). The new rates are $191,500 for a four-color page and $123,095 for a black & white page. Newsweek's U.S. circulation rate base remains 3.1 million. Its current U.S. circulation is 3,248,097, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulation first-half 2002. U.S. readership is 20,413,000 total adults, according to Mediamark Research Inc., Fall, 2002.
