Ando's Krasinski Moves To Arbitron

Paul Krasinski, who recently served as COO for online measurement and analytics outfit Ando Media, has left the company to join radio ratings firm Arbitron as senior vice president for digital media and analytics.

Before Ando, Krasinski was vice president and general manager at Westwood One, as well as director of digital media and interactive at Greater Media.

Announcing the new hire, Arbitron's Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Tim Smith noted: "Our customers, and the media industry as a whole, see digital platforms as a key part of their long-term growth."

Indeed, the online radio business has seen a flurry of activity in the measurement and analytics arena over the last couple of years, as relatively new companies have implemented metrics and services to support both pure-play Internet radio broadcasters and traditional broadcast groups establishing their Web presence.

Ando Media was acquired by Triton Media in September 2009, shortly after merging with Spacial Audio, which specializes in automated ad serving and management for streaming audio ads. This combination of assets means that Ando operates as an online measurement and analytics business, as well as an advertising platform.
