Best Buy is offering free workshops for wanna-be DJs, with DJ Sneek of the Scratch DJ Academy, which it describes as the leading brand in DJ and music production education.

In addition to a performance by DJ Sneek, the Minneapolis-based retailer hopes the events-currently planned for Pittsburgh and Las Vegas-will help sell its music equipment. The events include the chance to win freebies, such as Beats by Dr. Dre studio headphones.
