Outdoor Channel Improves Audience In November

The Outdoor Channel, a subsidiary of Global Outdoors, announced its latest ratings performance as compiled by Nielsen Media Research. As reported in Nielsen's November 2002 survey, The Outdoor Channel achieved the highest primetime cable coverage area rating for the month among its peer group of niche male-oriented cable networks; The Outdoor Channel scored .3, as compared to Golf Channel's .1, Outdoor Life Network's (OLN) .1 and Speed Channel's .2. The Outdoor Channel's Primetime Household Delivery, Monday through Sunday between 7pm and 11pm, grew to exceed that of OLN, Golf Channel and the National Geographic Channel for the month. In addition, The Outdoor Channel's concentration in Primetime of the key advertiser demographic - Males 18-49 years of age - surpassed that of Speed Channel and OLN by margins of 5% and 12%, respectively.
