GM Launches Syndicated Male-Lifestyle TV Show

  • January 31, 2011
General Motors has launched a new TV series called "Inside the Vault." Hosted by Cris Collinsworth, a former NFL player and current TV personality, the show will start airing on Feb. 4 on WGN America and 18 Tribute affiliates. The automaker says the show will showcase "stories, insights, and lively conversation, providing a wide variety of perspectives on how men live today."

The 10-episode series pairs male lifestyle content with ads and product information about Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC vehicles. The programs, delving into travel, gadgets, fitness, food and sports, feature experts from Conde Naste paired with auto experts from Source Interlink, which publishes buff books like Motor Trend.

The series was produced by Warner's Telepictures division. General Motors' media AOR Starcom USA put the buy together and the agency LiquidThread worked on the content. Ad pods for the show will be loaded with spots touting Buick, Caddie, Chevrolet and GMC cars and trucks.
