Chiquita Plans New Food, Non-Food Licenses

Chiquita Brands has hired Nancy Bailey & Associates to create and implement licensing programs to extend the Chiquita and Fresh Express brands into new food categories and non-food categories in the U.S. and Canada.

The licenses will target food, drug and mass retailers to distribute a wide range of products from the two brands for launch in 2012.

Chiquita is the number one global banana brand and has 99% brand awareness among American consumers, and Fresh Express is the number one U.S. salad brand, according to the company.
