What insect has the most painful sting? Which creepy crawler poses the greatest threat? Which swarm is the deadliest? Answers to these questions and others are going to be given on National Geographic Channel: Bug Attack, which will air on Fox 8-9 p.m. Thursday, July 31. Host and bug fanatic Dr. Phil DeVries will be seen on his quest from the deserts of Arizona to the swamps of Venezuela to find the nastiest, deadliest and grossest bugs on the planet. DeVries seeks out the scariest bugs alive and subjects himself to the worst of their weapons. From being voluntarily stung by a pain- inflicting scorpion and a jaw-snapping harvester ant; from provoking a flesh-dissolving hornet attack and a giant blood-sucking leech, he will lead a journey to the dark side of the insect world.
