Cablevision is on track to spin off its Rainbow Networks unit in mid-2011, which will be named AMC Networks, reports the
Los Angeles Times. The AMC channel houses popular hits like "Mad Men"
and "Breaking Bad." Josh Sapan, head of Rainbow Media, will be president and chief executive of the publicly traded company. The new AMC Networks will include AMC, WE tv, IFC, Sundance Channel and
AMC/Sundance Global, plus IFC Entertainment, an independent film business.
