OMMA Metrics keynoter Yuchun Lee of IBM: $1 trillion is spent on marketing annually and "98% of that money is wasted, but we don't know where."

Lee actually said: "98% of marketing dollars are wasted, but we don't which 98%," riffing on the famous John Wanamaker line. This was particularly poignant at an OMMA Metrics conference which is talking all about how to measure online advertising results and performance.
