Google Gets Google Doodle Patent

It took nearly 10 years, but Google finally won a U.S. patent for its cycling logo known as "Google Doodles, which also covers a "periodically changing storyline." This means the doodles that change during a consecutive series of days might collectively create a story.

    Great news! Or is it...?

    Should I be encouraged that if I spend enough time and money I can get a patent on almost anything?

    Or is this just another example of a company manipulating the system to get what they want, even though the rest of us would never get anywhere with such an application...???
