  • June 17, 2003
Weather.com announced that it is offering reach and frequency reports to its advertising clients on a limited basis. The reports are compiled through a partnership with Tacoda Systems. In March, Scotts became the first client to test the reporting system. The lawn and garden company launched a large, integrated campaign on weather.com and The Weather Channel cable network in February. As part of the deal, Scotts sponsored content in weather.com's Home & Garden section. The Tacoda reports showed that in the first full month, the Scotts campaign on weather.com reached 10 million unduplicated users with an average frequency of four exposures per person. Weather.com also announced that the site is now using Tacoda reports to measure usage of specific content sections including Health, Travel, Events and more. These reports will then be used to help media buyers accurately predict how many site visitors will be exposed to lifestyle-targeted campaigns.
