Bizjournals' Sites Launch Sales Lead Customization
Jun 20, 2003, 12:00 AM
Bizjournals, the new media division of American City Business Journals, last week launches a service on its 43 websites that enables local businesses to customize their online prospecting for new customers. New business leads on bizjournals' sites are grouped into two broad classifications: New Business Licenses and Home Buyers. Each is a vast repository of data on developments in local markets. Site visitors now have the option of customizing how leads are delivered to them. For example, prospecting site visitors can limit searches of homebuyers to specific time-frames such as the past seven to 90 days or by the price paid for the house. New business licenses can be customized by industry, geographic area and how long ago the license was issued. Each search can produce tens of thousands of leads containing critical contact information such as phone numbers and street addresses. Bizjournals' over 2.5 million unique users may purchase leads for about 10 cents apiece.
