Kohl's says it has signed an exclusive deal with VF Corp.'s Rock & Republic brand, and that R&R apparel, accessories and other merchandise will be available in its stores this spring. The label, best
known for its pricey denim offerings, "will have prominent positioning throughout the store in the contemporary areas," the Menomonee Falls, Wisc.-based chain says in its release -- first in men's and
women's clothing and footwear, and perhaps eventually expanding into children's, accessories and home products. Kohl's, which has exclusive relationship with such brands as Dana Buchman, Vera Wang,
and Elle, says its private and exclusive brand strategy accounted for 48% of total sales in 2010.
