General Motors is boosting production of the Chevrolet Volt. The automaker said it will make 1,000 more of the vehicles than it had planned to. That means Chevy will have 16,000 rolling off the
assembly line this year. And next year the automaker will build 60,000 of the cars at its Detroit-Hamtramck plant, up from the 45,000 initially targeted.
