Aflac, NASCAR Promote 'Now Hiring' Campaign

Aflac is melding marketing and hiring and using its NASCAR relationship to aid the effort. The insurer, which recently found a new voice for its signature duck, will use a new paint scheme with "Now Hiring" on its car driven by Carl Edwards in a race this weekend.

Aflac has had luck this season with Edwards, the points leader in the Sprint Cup standings.

The on-track recruitment message is one part of a national effort to find new agents tabbed "Take Flight," which plugs benefits of working for the Columbus, Ga.-based company. A 60-second spot features actual agents.

The car features the "Now Hiring" message on the hood, which is highly visible to TV cameras, as well as on the sides, along with the duck. "Aflac.com/nowhiring" is on the rear of the Ford.

Aflac is a significant college football advertiser in the fall. With the Edwards car, it has a relationship with ScottsMiracle-Gro as a co-sponsor.

A NASCAR spot has featured Edwards and the duck in the driver's seat taking the trophy.
