The real estate sector in the U.S. is now the second-largest spender on online advertising, reports
Adweek-- after general merchandise retailers and driving ahead of the auto sector, citing a
new Borrell Associates study. It notes that in 2010, the real estate sector spent $20 billion on advertising in total, of which $8.9 billion was online. Borrell projects that total spending by the
sector in 2011 will hit $22 billion; $9.1 billion will be online.
