CBS, the strongest TV network in terms of overall viewers, said it had gained the most time-shifted viewers for the 2010-2011 season.

CBS grew 10.1% or 1.18 million prime-time viewers in time-shifted viewing after seven days, according to Nielsen. CBS led all networks last year with 11.67 million viewers for live-plus-same-day rating data.

Other networks witnessed similar bumps: Fox added 979,000 prime-time viewers, a little over 10.1% to its live-plus-same-day season prime-time average of 9.688 million. ABC grew 9.2% or 777,000 viewers over its 8.476 million, while NBC improved 9% -- 630,000 viewers over its live-plus-same-day 7.041 million average.

In terms of individual shows in the key viewer demographics that advertisers buy most often, ABC had the top two shows for the season in actual gains among 18-49 viewers: "Modern Family" saw a live-plus-seven-day rating of 6.2 -- a 38% rise, or a growth of 1.7 rating points, over its live-plus-same-day rating. "Grey's Anatomy" gained 34% (1.4 rating) to a 5.5 live-plus-seven-day rating.
