Eric W. Strong has been named Vice President, Eastern Syndication Sales at NBC Enterprises. The announcement was made today by Sean O'Boyle, NBC Enterprises' Senior Vice President and National Sales Manager, to whom he will report. Strong, who will be based in New York City, joins NBC Enterprises from Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he most recently served as Vice President of Eastern Sales. In his new position, Strong will oversee all day-to-day first-run and off-network sales for NBC Enterprises in the Eastern region. For the last two years, Strong served as Vice President of Eastern Sales for Sony Pictures Entertainment based in New York City. Strong successfully implemented sales and marketing strategies in top East Coast markets, overseeing sales on programs such as "King of Queens" and "Ricki Lake." Prior to that, Strong worked for Warner Bros. Domestic Television for 10 years, including the final five as Vice President of Eastern Sales. While at Warner Bros., Strong sold top network hits including "Friends," "ER" and "Drew Carey" in off-network syndication, as well as first-run series such as "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and "The People's Court." From 1986-1991, Strong was a sales representative for Lorimar-Telepictures based in New York. He got his start in the television industry at Seltel Television as a sales assistant trainee.
