Unilever, Jewel-Osco in Groupon Partnership

Unilever and Jewel-Osco (a banner of the Supervalu grocery chain operator) have partnered to offer Chicago consumers the ability to buy Unilever products through Groupon deals and then pick the items up at their local Jewel-Osco stores.

Unilever is the first global CPG company to participate in such a Groupon/retailer initiative, reports Progressive Grocer.

Through Unilever's "Summer of Ice Cream" program, shoppers can buy $15 worth of Unilever's Ben & Jerry's, Popsicle, Good Humor, Breyers and Klondike products for $9 on Groupon.com - a 40% discount -- then select and pick up their items at a Jewel-Osco store.
