FCC Revisits Station Disclosures

The FCC next week is expected to scrap its 2007 Enhanced Disclosure decision to require broadcasters to file more detailed programming reports and put them online for easier public inspection, reports B&C. The move is to allow the current commission, since the issue began under FCC Chairman Kevin Martin, to start over and devise a better way to achieve that goal. Broadcasters had objected, saying the commission underestimated the amount of paperwork involved.
