GOP Focuses On Debates, Not Ads

Less than three months before the Jan. 3 Iowa caucuses, there are few TV political ads, reports USA Today, but four new debates were announced last week. That means after nine debates since May, there are 14 more scheduled. Only Texas Congressman Ron Paul is airing ads. The frontrunners -- Romney and Perry -- haven't bought TV time yet. The debates are allowing candidates to define or damage themselves in their own words.
