Kellogg Co. has selected Interpublic Group's Weber Shandwick and sister agency Current Lifestyle Marketing to handle PR for all of its U.S. brands, reports Ad Age.
Ketchum reportedly had handled PR for Kellogg's cereal brands (a $2-million-plus account) for about five years.
Other PR agencies currently handling Kellogg accounts, such as Hunter PR (Keebler cookies, Cheez-It, Morningstar Farms) apparently are also being displaced.
In her announcement of the consolidation under Weber Shandwick, Kellogg's director of brand public relations, Brandy Ruff stated that Kellogg has enjoyed its partnerships with other PR firms, and wishes them continued success.
