Meredith Corporation will publish four books based on its cable television network Home & Garden Television (HGTV). Over the next two years Meredith will publish a series of HGTV branded books focusing on the areas of home design and decor, landscaping, and gardening. Each book will use HGTV’s familiar before and after approach to design and instructions for readers. “Publishing under this brand continues our goal of expanding the range of our market reach, the versatility of our products, and our appeal to home enthusiasts of all ages,” says Todd Davis, executive director of new business development for Meredith. The first of the four books, titled “HGTV Before and After Decorating,” will be released in the fall of 2003. In the spring of 2004, the second in the series, “HGTV Landscaping: Projects for Your Dream Yard,” will be released.
