Porsche Unveils Plans For New U.S. Headquarters

Porsche is building a new North American headquarters in Atlanta that will open in late 2013. Among other oddities, its atrium will be shaped to resemble the shield adorning Cayennes, Panameras, Caymans, 911s and Boxsters. In Los Angeles, Porsche plans to build a customer experience center in the vicinity of Los Angeles International and Long Beach airports.

The Atlanta office would consolidate the company’s North American administration, technical, training and other operations. It will include a Customer and Driver Experience Center, consisting of a test track, a restaurant, a shop for Porsche-branded goods and other amenities. Porsche estimates its total investment in the Atlanta site to be from $80 million to $100 million.
