Lenovo, Southwest Fly Funny

  • November 23, 2011

Ryan Bingham (George Clooney’s “Up in the Air” character, for those who don’t know), you’re being challenged. Lenovo and Southwest Airlines are teaming up to help comedian and actor Owen Benjamin visit the most airports in a month (and set a record as the world’s most frequent flyer).

In his attempt to set the record, Benjamin will be posting updates (using a Lenovo IdeaPad) about his adventures on Southwest planes and in airports via a dedicated Website, www.flyingfunny.com.  He’ll also be interacting with passengers and fans, answering questions about grooming tips in airport restrooms and where to find the best snacks.

During his trip, Benjamin will transfer the Rapid Rewards points he earns, via a sweepstakes to consumers who register through the Web site. They can also register to win prizes such as a ThinkPad Tablet or tickets on Southwest.

“Funny on the Fly perfectly demonstrates how people use our products everyday to get more done, whether it’s a corporate executive relying on a ThinkPad laptop as he/she jet-sets around the world, a student using an Idea product for entertainment between classes, or a daredevil putting our products’ ruggedness to the test,” said David Rabin, marketing director for North America for Lenovo, in a statement.
