'New Haven Register' Gains Digital News Focus

Journal Register Co.'s The New Haven Register in New Haven, Conn. has revamped its newsroom to focus on investigative and digital journalism, reports NetNewscheck. The reorg adds audience engagement, investigative reporting and breaking news teams to the staff. "Quality journalism and digital journalism are not mutually exclusive," Jim Brady, Digital First Media editor in chief, said in a statement. "Our audiences demand quality stories and they expect to be able to consume those stories on the device and platform of their choosing."
