Herald Interactive, the operator of BostonHerald.com, launched an electronic version of The Boston Herald in partnership with NewsStand, Inc. The Electronic Edition allows customers to download an exact replica of the Boston Herald print edition via the Internet, to a personal computer. Single digital copies of the Boston Herald cost $0.50 for the daily edition and $1.75 for the Sunday edition. Subscriptions are $3.50 per week for a 7-day subscription and $1.85 per week for a weekday subscription. Herald Interactive has also begun charging fees for access to the paper's premier columnists. Those who are not Boston Herald home delivery subscribers can pay $4.95 a month or $9.95 for three months. Print edition and electronic edition subscribers will receive full online access at no extra charge.
