Crowdsourced Videos To Promote McBites

  • December 6, 2011

McDonald's is running a contest on Tongal to solicit short videos to be used to promote its Chicken McBites when that new snack launches in January.

Creators of the 10 winning ideas will get $250 each. The maker of the top video will get $15,000; other winning videos will be awarded lesser amounts.

The winning videos will be posted online. McBites will also be supported by a television campaign, and it's not inconceivable that one of the videos could be used as a TV spot -- although that's not the current plan, McDonald's' social media director Rick Wion told Mashable.
